Leon Reinbrecht has been found guilty of two counts in a 2010 boat crash on Shuswap Lake that killed one man and injured eight others.

Justice Sheri Donegan brought down the verdict in BC Supreme Court this morning.

Reinbrecht was at the controls of a speedboat that crashed into a houseboat immediately following the annual Canada Day long weekend fireworks near Magna Bay.

Ken Brown, the man operating the houseboat, was killed in the crash.

Though Reinbrecht was charged with two counts of criminal negligence shortly after the crash, his trial only began in February of this year and was riddled with delays.
