Kamloops rink places at first B.C. Jr. Curling Tour event

The Corryn Brown rink from Kamloops made it to the final of the first event on the new B.C. Junior Curling Tour.

Brown and her rink of Erin Pincott, Samantha Fisher and Sydney Fraser went 7-and-0 before a 7-6 extra and loss to Sarah Daniels in the final.

The B.C. Junior Curling tour was the brainchild of five time B.C. men's champion Jim Cotter.

There are four more events leading up to the B.C. Junior Curling Championships.

The top two teams at the end of the tour will receive byes to the B.C. Junior Championships, which will take place at the Kamloops Curling Club December 29 to January 3.

The Brown rink won the B.C. and Canadian Junior Championship in 2013.
