Semi-truck fire snarls overnight traffic on Highway 97 north of Clinton

CLINTON, B.C. — Traffic is flowing on Highway 97 north of Clinton after a semi-truck caught fire Tuesday (July 22) night.
DriveBC says the southbound lane remains closed on Highway 97 at Big Bar Road due to the vehicle fire, but traffic is open in both directions via the northbound lanes.
The semi-truck fire was first reported shortly before 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and the stretch of Highway 97 remained closed in both directions until around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.
