Kamloops clinic receives upgraded X-ray and bone density equipment
KAMLOOPS — Residents in Kamloops and area now have access to improved general X-ray and bone density testing services on the North Shore.
In a news release issued Tuesday (Dec. 5) morning, Interior Health says the Northills Centre Medical Imaging clinic at 42-700 Tranquille Rd., formerly known as the North Shore Radiology Clinic, now has a brand new X-ray machine and clinic renovations. The $917,000 price tag was funded by B.C.’s Ministry of Health and the Thompson Regional Hospital District (TRHD).
Additionally, a $98,000 bone density unit was funded by the Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) Foundation.
According to Adrian Dix, B.C.’s health minister, the Northills Centre Medical Imaging clinic will add capacity for more than 8,000 X-rays and 3,000 bone density exams per year. Susan Brown, Interior Health CEO and president, adds the North Shore location is the only bone density clinic in the Thompson-Cariboo region.
