100 MILE HOUSE — A 35-year-old man who was arrested in 100 Mile House for allegedly using a stolen credit card, was reported to have used the card from the Lower Mainland to Northern B.C.

In August, 100 Mile House RCMP were notified by a Langley company that its credit card was used at Interlakes, near 100 Mile House. Police say a clerk working at the Canco Gas Bar and Store saw the man attempt to buy a large amount of pre-paid credit cards.

RCMP say the man returned to the Interlakes Canco the next day and was arrested with the stolen credit card and a large amount of pre-paid Mastercards in his possession.

Police say investigations revealed the man used the stolen credit card in Langley, Surrey, Williams Lake, Smithers, Mackenzie, and Dawson Creek. The total amount of items purchased was over $16,000.
