Simpcw First Nation speaks in support of Trans Mountain expansion

KAMLOOPS — One-third of the Trans Mountain pipeline runs through the territory of the Simpcw First Nation.

As the debate over Kinder Morgan's planned expansion of the pipeline rages, Simpcw's chief and council are speaking out today.

Bump in liquor server wage could mean bump in prices at Kamloops pub

KAMLOOPS — The B.C. government has laid out its plans to increase the minimum wage for liquor servers to match the general minimum wage by 2021. 

The first jump is scheduled to take place this June, when servers will see an increase of $1.30 per hour.

Railcars carrying pipe through Kamloops are destined for Trans Mountain: Kinder Morgan

KAMLOOPS — Kinder Morgan Canada confirms lengths of pipeline that have arrived in Kamloops by rail are meant for the Trans Mountain pipeline project.

Members of the public have observed dozens of trailer loads of stacked pipe moving through the city via the CP tracks.
