Liam Payne will be paying a special visit to Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California, early next year, treating students to a Q&A and a private concert. The school is the winner of the Chegg Music 101, the campus takeover contest sponsored by the student hub Chegg in partnership with truth, the tobacco prevention campaign.

“I’m proud to be a part of Chegg Music 101 and showcase the importance of music and arts education since music has been such a positive force in my life. And I’m excited to share that with Mission San Jose students this winter,” Liam says in a statement.

He adds, “Working in partnership with truth means a lot to me as well because of their dedication to sharing the facts about tobacco and empowering youth to get involved and make an impact on the issue in their communities.”

The school also wins a $10,000 David B. Goldberg Music Grant for its music department.
