Joe Jonas Kicks off the Holidays

Joe Jonas teamed up with JCPenney to kick off its 2018 Holiday Giving Spree.

The 29-year-old DNCE singer helped bring holiday cheer to deserving YMCA kids at Manhattan Mall on Thursday in New York City. He surprised 25 kids with a once-in-a-lifetime holiday shopping experience, handing out $100 JCPenney gift cards and helping them to shop for gifts for their family and friends. This year, JCPenney is expanding the program and will host a Giving Spree event in each continental state, and Puerto Rico, benefiting a total of 1,275 deserving participants.

That same day, Joe stopped by the Today show, during which he talked about the giving spree event and his brother’s Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s wedding.

“It’s been amazing,’ Joe said. “Marrying Nick off to Priyanka has just been fantastic. Obviously, this has been one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever seen and to be part of it was a dream.”

One part of it in particular really felt like a dream.

“I kinda blacked out for a minute,” he said of his moment to raise a glass and toast the newlyweds. “I was just overwhelmed with emotion. This is my brother, my best friend and to see him marrying his dream girl … there was a lot of tears the whole weekend – and a lot of smiles. I had (the toast) on paper, so that was the most important part.”

With his own wedding to fiance Sophie Turner still on the books, Joe hinted he may have picked up a few tips. “I definitely took some notes but that week was all about them,” he told Today. “My time will come but I am thrilled for the two of them.”
