Vogue Cover for Dua Lipa: See Here

Dua Lipa’s most recent accomplishment is making the cover of British Vogue.

Posting the cover on Instagram, Dua writes, “Sweet mutha a British Vogue cover!!! Pinch me pinch me pinch please. A dream come true…I am so filled with gratitude for this and it’s a milestone I will hold so close to my heart. Thank you to the wonderful dreamteam for making me feel Vogue cover worthy. What a way to enter our 2019…all my love.”

The subscriber issue features a different shot of Dua, which she also posted, and captioned, “Shot by @Nadineijewere, who is also the first black woman to shoot a Vogue cover. Here’s to the future.”

Dua covers the magazine’s “Future Issue.” She’s shown wearing a huge white dress trimmed with feathers, enormous silver drop earrings, and bold yellow and pink eyes shadow.

In the accompanying interview, Lipa talks about feminism and self-confidence. “I do feel quite confident in my body, there’s always going to be something you don’t like, but it’s so much healthier to tell yourself two things you like about yourself every day,” she says. “I go, ‘You know what, my skin’s looking great, I’m not going to put any make-up on,’ rather than, ‘Oh God, you’ve had pasta every night this week’.”

And Dua doesn’t think feminism is about “man-hating.” The 23-year-old singer thinks that gender equality means “women deserve the same opportunities” as men and believes that some people disregard the stories of important men simply because they are men.
