AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR BREAKS $2B: Disney/Marvel‘s Avengers: Infinity War has officially crossed the $2 billion mark, joining Avatar ($2.78 billion), Titanic ($2.18 billion) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.06B). Infinity War is Marvel‘s top release ever, besting2012’s Avengers ($1.5 billion), and followed by Avengers: Age of Ultron ($1.4 billion) and Black Panther ($1.345 billion). Infinity War crossed the mark on its 48thday of release.

ETHAN HAWKE AND JASON BLUM ADAPTING THE GOOD LORD BIRD: Blumhouse Television is cranking out a limited series based on James McBride‘s National Book Award-winning novel The Good Lord Bird, Variety reports. Ethan Hawke has signed on to star as abolitionist John Brown and will co-write the series with Mark Richard. Producer Jason Blum is also in. The Good Lord Bird follows a young slave who joins up with Brown.

CROCODILE DUNDEE‘S PAUL HOGAN TO LEAD THE VERY EXCELLENT MR. DUNDEE: Paul Hogan, star of Crocodile Dundee, is heading back to the screen and the franchise with the comedy The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee! The film will not be a sequel to the iconic 1980s action-comedy, but will instead have Hogan playing himself as he prepares to receive a Knighthood for services to comedy. Production is set to begin in July.

LUKE CAGE TRAILER DROPS: Mariah Dillard and Bushmaster are battling for control of Harlem in a new teaser for Luke Cage‘s second season. “Harlem doesn’t need a hero, it needs a Queen,” opines Alfre Woodard’s Mariah Dillard, as she faces the unstoppable Bushmaster. Meanwhile, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) mulls intervening in the battle. All 13 episodes of Marvel‘s Luke Cage Season 2 premiere June 22 on Netflix.
