Hozier is Hitting the Road

Irish singer/songwriter Hozier is ending a few years of silence by announcing that he is hitting the road. Hozier will embark on a 17-city North American run that starts on September 15th in Ottawa, Canada and ends on October 22nd in Vancouver. Hozier said in a statement, “Very excited to announce the upcoming tour for later in the year, which will coincide with the releasing of new work. The completion of the record is fast approaching and I’m eager to share it with everyone.”

• The singer added, “Realizing the work in a live setting was such a joy for me last time round and I hope to see you on the road again soon.”
• Hozier told us a while back that he’s been anxious to rush his career: [“There’s always a danger of kind of dropping an album and being a flash in the pan and, you know, I want to make a career out of this. So I’m very glad with the way we’ve done it and I always wanted to take my time with this. I was never in a rush, if you know what I mean.”] SOUNDCUE (:11 OC: . . . what I mean.)
• Hozier’s new album will follow up his self-titled debut, which came out in October 2014 and featured the monster hit “Take Me To Church.”
