SARA BAREILLES TEAMS UP WITH J.J. ABRAMS FOR NEW APPLE TV SERIES, ‘LITTLE VOICE’: Sara Bareilles is teaming up with producer J.J. Abrams for a new half-hour dramedy called Little Voice. The show has landed a 10-episode, straight-to-series pick-up from Apple. The series, which takes its title from Sara’s debut album, will explore the journey of finding your own voice in your early 20s. It’ll be set in New York. Sara, who’s also hosting the Tony Awards this weekend with Josh Groban, will provide original music for the series as well as executive-producing. Sara previously wrote the music for the Broadway musical Waitress, in which she also starred for a limited run. She also appeared in NBC’s recent live production of Jesus Christ Superstar as Mary Magdalene.
TAYLOR SWIFT STARS IN SUGARLAND’S NEW ‘BABE’ VIDEO: Taylor Swift co-wrote Sugarland’s new single, “Babe,” with Train’s Pat Monahan, and she contributes vocals to the tune, too. Now she’s featured in the new video for the song – rocking red hair. The trailer premiered last night during the CMT Awards. The song appears on Sugarland’s forthcoming record Bigger – their first album in eight years.
