EMILIA CLARKE REVEALS EMBARRASSING RUN-IN WITH ROYALTY: The Mother of Dragons can be intimidated occasionally too. Emilia Clarke revealed her cringe-worthy run-in with Prince William on Late Night With Seth Meyers. She explained that they met after the 2018 Centrepoint Awards at Kensington Palace in February. “It’s kind of a frightening thing going to the palace,” she said. “I was kind of just relaxing, and then they were like, ‘Oh, he’s going to come in. Prince William is going to come in.’ And so I was like, ‘Oh, cool, great! I’m really relaxed and everything’s going to be fine.’” She was give a run-down on etiquette, which, in her fright, she says she forgot or abandoned. “For whatever reason – probably because I was so scared – I couldn’t manage to get out ‘Your Royal Highness,’” she recalled before cringing and laughing. CAMILLA PARKER BOWLES ADMITS SHE WONDERED WHAT MARKLE FAMILY WOULD DO NEXT TOO: It wasn’t just you! It seems the entire Royal Family was concerned about the Markle Family drama in the lead up to Prince Harry‘s wedding to Meghan Markle. Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, told 5 News in London: “It was such a lovely day. Just everything went right. We all wondered whatever would happen next and then everything went right.” As royal watchers will recall, Markle’s father Thomas was set to walk her down the aisle until it was revealed that he staged paparazzi photos in the lead-up to the event.

FEDERAL PROSECUTORS PROBE HARVEY WEINSTEIN: Federal prosecutors have launched a criminal probe into the sexual assault allegations leveled against Harvey Weinstein, Page Six reports. His lawyer Benjamin Brafman said that he has met with federal prosecutors “in an attempt to dissuade them from proceeding” with the probe. “Mr. Weinstein has always maintained that he has never engaged in nonconsensual acts,” Brafman told Page Six. He is also being investigated by the LAPD, NYPD and London police. He has been accused of assaulting and / or harassing 80+ women.

JEFFREY TAMBOR STILL IN EMMY CONTENTION: After getting ousted from Amazon‘s Transparent over sexual harassment claims, Jeffrey Tambor is still up for an Emmy thanks to Neflix and the return of Arrested Development, Deadline reports. The streaming giant submitted Tambor for the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Award just before the TV Academy’s deadline. Submitting an actor doesn’t guarantee a nomination, observers note. Would you be upset or gratified if he was officially nominated?

ASHTON KUTCHER STUNS ELLEN DEGENERES WITH BIRTHDAY GIFT: What a pal! Ellen DeGeneres got a wonderful surprise on Wednesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show when Ashton Kutcher stopped by unannounced to tell her that he and tech company Ripple were gifting the Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund with $4 million in her name. Her wife Portia de Rossi established the fund in February to mark DeGeneres’ 60thbirthday. “That was the most amazing thing,” DeGeneres told Kutcher and his business partner, Guy Oseary, clearly overcome with gratitude. “Thank you. I love you both so much, you know that.”

JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS TO BE HONORED WITH MARK TWAIN PRIZE: Julia Louis-Dreyfus is set to receive this year’s Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. “Like Mark Twain, Julia has enriched American culture with her iconic, unforgettable and outright hilarious brand of humor,” Deborah F. Rutter, the president of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, said in The New York Times Wednesday. “Over four decades, her wildly original characters and her gift for physical comedy have left us in stitches.”The 57-year-old 11-time Emmy Award-winner will receive her award in Washington, D.C., on October 21. Previous recipients have included Whoopi Goldberg, Will Ferrell and Tina Fey.

NEW MATT GROENING SERIES SETS PREMIERE DATE: Netflix has set the official premiere date for the upcoming Matt Groening adult comedy fantasy series Disenchantment. The first 10 episodes will drop August 17th.
