Anthony Hopkins Doesn’t Care He’s A Grandpa

Anthony Hopkins, in direct opposition to every stereotype about grandparents in existence, is so miffed with his daughter, he has zero interest in whether or not his grandchildren even exist.

The Silence of the Lambs star told Radio Times he doesn’t even know if his estranged daughter Abigail has any kids.

• “I don’t have any idea,” the 80-year-old said, according to The Telegraph. “People break up. Families split and, you know, ‘Get on with your life.’ People make choices. I don’t care one way or the other.”
• He and Abigail’s mother, Petronella Barker, split up when Abigail was a toddler. Though the 48-year-old reportedly reconciled with Hopkins in the 1990s, it didn’t stick.
• When told his response sounded cold, he said: “Well, it is cold. Because life is cold.”
