Chris Pratt Breaks His Silence

Since announcing his split from wife Anna Faris in August of 2017 and breaking the Internet’s heart, Chris Pratt has kept silent on the subject. The pair were married for eight years and share a 5-year-old son Jack.

At the time of their split, the pair issued a joint statement via social media; they assured fans of their mutual “love” and “respect” for each other, and asked for privacy.

• But in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, he addressed the elephant in the room.
• “Divorce sucks,” he said. “But at the end of the day, we’ve got a great kid who’s got two parents who love him very much. And we’re finding a way to navigate this while still remaining friends and still being kind to one another. It’s not ideal, but yeah, I think both of us are actually probably doing better.”
• Both stars are seeking joint custody. Faris has spoken out a few times about their split, and her take seems right in line with Pratt’s.
• “He’s surrounded by so much love,” Faris told E! News in January about Jack. “We constantly reinforce what a great kid he is.”
• Ultimately, the Overboard star added, “The key is surrounding him with a lot of joy and happiness, which he has a ton of.”
• Faris, 41, is dating cinematographer Michael Barrett. Pratt, 38, is presumed to be single.
