USA ORDERS BOURNE PREQUEL, DENIS LEARY DRAMA, MORE: USA Networks is revamping its roster of pilots with the pick-up of four dramas. They include: Treadstone (a prequel to the Matt Damon-starring Bourne franchise); crime-thriller Erase starring Denis Leary; mystery-thriller Briarpatch; and a high school cheerleading entry Dare Me from former HBO programming president Michael Lombardo and Tim Kring. They join USA Network‘s current scripted roster, which includes Mr. Robot, The Sinner, Shooter, Falling Water, Queen of the South, Colony, Unsolved, The Purge, Suits and its untitled spinoff. HOT SUMMER NIGHTS TRAILER DROPS: Hot of his Oscar-nominated Call Me By Your Name, Timothe Chalamet is appearing in Hot Summer Nights, writer/director Elijah Bynum‘s coming of age story. The film features Chalamet as a shy Cape Codder who gets involved with a local weed dealer (Alex Roe). The film will be drop on DIRECTV June 28, with A24 releasing it to theaters July 27.

CANNES PRESENTS NETFLIX-FREE 2018 LINEUP: Cannes Film Festival chief Theirry Frmaux has presented the lineup for 2018. Here’s (part of) what’s on tap: An opening night psychological thriller from Asghar Farhadi (starring Javier Bardem and Penlope Cruz), Spike Lee‘s BlacKkKlansman, David Robert Mitchell‘s much-anticipated Under the Silver Lake and The Image Book, Jean-Luc Godard‘s first new film in four years. There are no Netflix films in the competition this year due to a rule change banning films that aren’t released in theaters. The 71st annual Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to be held from May 8-19th.

LESLIE ODOM JR. & KATHARINE MCPHEE TO MC TONY NOMS: The Tony Awards nominations announcement will be co-hosted by Leslie Odom, Jr. (Hamilton) and Katharine McPhee (Waitress). Nominations will take place Tuesday, May 1st at 8:30 am on CBS This Morning.
