THE OFFICE AND WEST WING REBOOTS MAY HAPPEN: NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt told reporters and lawyers at a recent industry Q&A that he could see a reboot of The Office and The West Wing in the future, The Hollywood Reporter shares. But Seinfeld and Friends revivals aren’t in the cards, Greenblatt said. He also weighed in on the ongoing gender gap salary issue, noting that all of the stars for NBC‘s Will & Grace revival were paid the same. “This is a reckoning moment,” Greenblatt said. “I think we’re all very sensitive to it. … I think it’s going to only improve.”
SHONDALAND LAUNCHES PODCASTS: It was inevitable! The irrepressible Shondaland is expanding into the world of podcasting, with two series set to launch this spring. The first is Katie’s Crib, featuring Scandal‘s Katie Lowes, which will drop April 16th. The second, Geri & Milli, hosted by Shondaland Exec Producer Betsy Beers, will debut later next month. Katie’s Crib, featuring a bevy of celeb guests, will follow the tragic and comic travails of motherhood, while Geri & Milli will ponder the gender gap between Beers and her young(er) guests as they consider trends and cultural moments.
AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR TRACKING FOR $200M LAUNCH: Disney & Marvel‘s Avengers: Infinity War looks like it will open with a $175M-$200M domestic B.O. haul, according to projections, per The Hollywood Reporter. The movie is set to release in theaters on April 27th. Only seven films have ever opened to $175M+ in the U.S., four of which are superhero movies from Disney/Marvel: The Avengers ($207.4 million), Black Panther ($202 million), Avengers: Age of Ultron ($191.3 million) and Captain America: Civil War ($179.1 million).
