Selena Gomez has revealed her first collaboration as brand ambassador for Puma. The singer debuted the shoe, called the Phenom Lux, on Puma’s Instagram Story. It features gold details, a cutout design and a gold removable ankle chain. A set of socks with a sheer panel design will also be available to complete the look.

“I got to design every single part of it,” Selena says. “I wanted a shoe that was super clean, I’m very into sneakers with my dresses, with my outfits, everything. And I added this cute little charm, because it’s something I used to do when I was younger.”

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Lupus Research Alliance. Selena received a kidney transplant last summer after struggling with the disease.

“It’s been really fun to work so closely with Puma on the design of this shoe,” she says. “I’m also proud to partner with them in helping to affect lives and bring attention to a cause that is very important to me personally.”

The Phenom Lux and matching socks will be available on April 6th at Puma stores and on Puma.com. The sneakers will retail for $110, while the socks are $14.

Selena first teamed up with Puma last September and has starred in multiple ad campaigns for the brand.

In more news, Selena is returning to WE Day California this year. The singer will once again participate in the youth empowerment event, set to take place on April 19th at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

“I’m constantly inspired by the determination in every single student at WE Day – the energy they bring is unforgettable,” Selena says.

She adds, “This is my sixth WE Day and I can’t wait to share words of encouragement with thousands of young leaders who have accomplished so much worth celebrating. This generation is changing the world and I’m humbled to be a part of this special day with them.”

Also participating in WE Day California are The Chainsmokers, Paula Abdul, Jennifer Aniston, Maddie Ziegler, Morgan Freeman, Will Ferrell, and country singer Dierks Bentley. John Stamos will host.

The event is part of a global movement spotlighting young people who are taking on challenging social issues and making a difference in their communities. A one-hour WE Day special will air on August 17th on ABC.
