Seinfeld Revival??

Jerry Seinfeld just gave fans the first indication there’s been that there might be the slightest glimmer of hope for a Seinfeld revival.
Despite having repeatedly shut down hope for a reboot a la Will & Grace, Roseanne and Murphy Brown, Ellen DeGeneres dutifully asked him about it on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday.
- “All these sitcoms are having a resurgence,” DeGeneres says. “Roseanne is doing it, I heard Murphy Brown-is that really true, Murphy Brown is doing it?”
- “Murphy Brown? And Candice Bergen is coming back?” Seinfeld asks. “I think I know where you’re going with this, but why don’t you finish it.”
- She takes the bait: “do you think, Jerry, there would be a possibility that Seinfeld would come back?”
- “It’s possible,” Seinfeld says to thunderous audience applause. “Oh, they like the idea.”
- The Seinfeld cast, including Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards, did reunite for a fake Seinfeld reunion on HBO‘s Curb Your Enthusiasm (which stars Larry David, Seinfeld‘s creator).
- DeGeneres will appear in an upcoming episode of Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
