BIll Paxton’s Family Litigates

Bill Paxton‘s family has filed suit against a leading heart surgeon who operated on him 11 days before his death. The lawsuit claims that a series of errors led to complications and ultimately, his death.

Ali Khoynezhad and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles were named in the lawsuit filed by the Titanic star’s wife, Louise and their children, James and Lydia. Shortly after his death, Khoynezhad resigned from his position as surgeon.

• “We are pursuing accountability and justice from a physician and a hospital that failed to adequately protect Mr. Paxton,” the family lawyer, Steve Heimberg, says in the release.
• Paxton died at age 61 on February 25, 2017. He appeared in more than 90 films and TV shows over four decades.
