DEMI LOVATO SHARES MESSAGE OF SELF-CARE FOR THE HOLIDAYS: With the holiday season upon us, Demi Lovato has taken a moment to share a message of self-care during a time that can be especially trying for some. “With the holidays around the corner, I wanted to write you guys a little something special,” Lovato wrote on Tumblr. “I know the holiday season can be a tough time for anyone working through any kind of mental health issues and I just want all of you to know that you can get through this!” “There is nothing more important than self care and I hope each and every one of you carve out the time each and every day just for yourself,” she continued. “It can be as simple as going to get your nails done to buying yourself a little present You deserve it and so much more! Love you guys!! Make sure to take care of YOU.”

TAYLOR SWIFT’S FEARLESS CERTIFIED DIAMOND: Fresh off her latest record-breaking album Reputation, Taylor Swift has reached a new milestone with her back catalog. Her sophomore album, Fearless, was certified diamond by the RIAA on Monday. Diamond status means the 2008 album has achieved sales and streams exceeding 10 million equivalent album units. The album, which went on to win album of the year at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, was also the best-selling album of 2009. It featured two of her biggest crossover hits: “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me.” Meanwhile, Swift’s latest release, Reputation, has also been certified 3X platinum, only a month after its release. It is the RIAA’s top album of 2017. Her first single from the project, “Look What You Made Me Do,” also reached 3X platinum, and “…Ready for It?” just achieved platinum status.

ED SHEERAN TO RELEASE NEW VERSION OF “PERFECT” WITH ANDREA BOCELLI: Ed Sheeran has revealed that he’ll be releasing yet another version of his single “Perfect,” this time as a collaboration with opera superstar Andrea Bocelli. He described it as “just a little present for Christmas.” Ed added that Bocelli sings the second verse in Italian. The new version will be out on Friday. As of Monday, Ed’s duet version of “Perfect” with Beyonc topped the Billboard Hot 100 as well.

MARIAH CAREY, NICK JONAS NOMINATED FOR GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS: Mariah Carey and Nick Jonas have both received Golden Globe nominations in the category of Best Original Song from a Motion Picture. Mariah is nominated for “The Star,” which she co-wrote with Marc Shaiman. It’s from the animated Christmas movie of the same name. As for Nick, he’s nominated for “Home,” from the upcoming animated movie Ferdinand. He co-wrote the song with Justin Tranter and Nick Monson. Their competition includes “Mighty River,” a song from the movie Mudbound, written by Mary J. Blige, Raphael Saadiq and Taura Stinson, and Coco’s “Remember Me,” written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Also nominated are the Oscar-winning duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul for “This Is Me,” from the movie The Greatest Showman. The 75th Golden Globes will air January 7th on NBC, with Seth Meyers as host.
