Lorde, Harry Styles, Kesha and Taylor Swift have made Time magazine’ list of the “Top Ten Albums of 2017.” Lorde is the highest-ranking pop star on the list. Her Melodrama comes in at No. 5. The publication describes the album as “a textured and stirring document of self-exploration.”

Harry Styles’ self-titled solo debut comes in at No. 6, with Time commending him for pivoting “effortlessly from sweet balladry to straightforward rock.”

At No. 7 is Kesha’s comeback album Rainbow. The magazine notes her “clear-eyed and playful” songwriting. “This is her party now, and it’s great to be invited,” Time writes.

Taylor Swift’s Reputation ranks ninth on the list. “The biggest pop bangers find Swift clapping back at detractors, as she’s done before, but she shines in quiet moments of introspection, providing a peek into the challenging world of an artist for whom fame is a double-edged sword,” the mag says.
