Hey, planning a wedding is hard and what can make it even worse is scrambling around last minute for that perfect dress. With Alfred Angelo closing its 61 stores abruptly and filing for bankruptcy protection the next day, many brides have been left without a dress.

Here at Ripley’s, we have a quirky collection of wedding dresses made from toilet paper, and we’d like to donate to YOU! We know, you must be thinking, “Who would want a toilet paper wedding dress?” Trust us when we say these wedding dresses scream couture! Our collection comes from the Cheap Chic Weddings Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest that we participate in as a sponsor. Believe it or not, for the past 13 years, many of the winning dresses have become a part of our collection.

How are these dresses made?

  • Contestants have to use toilet paper.
  • They are allowed to use any type of tape and/or any type of glue.
  • They can also use needle and thread.
  • The dress must be able to be worn by a person and be able to be taken on and off (not sewn in).

We have around 20 dresses in our collection that we want to donate, and our collection is going to get even larger this Thursday, July 20th, when the 13th annual Cheap Chic Weddings Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest happens.

We know a toilet paper wedding dress is not for every bride, but quite possibly for the adventurous wife-to-be! Let us help you make your wedding extra special.

If you want to inquire about obtaining one of these dresses for your special day, you can reach out to us on Twitter @Ripleys or email us at pr@ripleys.com.
