VANCOUVER — If it turns out Benn Millman is the last Canadian on the American quiz show “Jeopardy” for the foreseeable future, the B.C. man will look back at his appearance with pride, despite hitting the buzzer too quickly on a TV trivia question.

Two men convicted a decade after fatal beating in Surrey, B.C.: police

SURREY, B.C. — Police say two men have been found guilty in the beating death of a man from Surrey, B.C., nearly 10 years ago.

David Mitchell died two days after he was attacked in a home in October 2006, but it took eight years for charges to be approved against four accused men.

Illegal venomous snakes found in mail Canada Post distribution centre in B.C.

RICHMOND, B.C. — A slithering surprise was discovered in a package mailed from China at a Canada Post distribution centre in British Columbia last week.

The B.C. Conservation Officer Service said three venomous mountain pit vipers were inside a package destined for Manitoba.

Parking rate hike in Vancouver's West End won't affect longtime residents: city

VANCOUVER — The City of Vancouver is defending proposed changes to parking regulations in the densely populated West End.

It’s considering recommendations that could boost the cost of a residents-only parking permit to $50 per month, up from $6 per month.
