Sunny outlook for Shuswap businesses despite rainy weather

SCOTCH CREEK, B.C. — Tourism-related businesses in the Shuswap region say the rainy July is definitely taking a chunk out of their revenue, but it's not disastrous.

Kamloops woman describes frightening attack in Nice, France

NICE, FRANCE — A large truck mowed through revelers gathered for Bastille Day fireworks in Nice, killing at least 84 people and sending people fleeing into the sea as it bore down for more than a mile along the Riviera city's famed waterfront promenade.

Drug seizure leads to hazmat response at Kamloops police headquarters

KAMLOOPS — Downtown residents were alarmed by a major hazardous material response at the Battle Street RCMP detachment last night.

Several emergency vehicles and scores of emergency personnel were seen paying particular attention to a couple of vehicles in the detachment's parking lot.
