Chad joined the CFJC news team in May, 2010. Right out of high school he studied the Broadcast Media Communication Television Program at BCIT. Chad's first job in the industry was working as a production assistant during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games at the Apline Skiing venue in Whistler. Following that he moved to Kamloops to take a job as a Master Control Operator. During his time at CFJC he has held a number of positions, including Technical Director of both Midday and the Evening News. Currently Chad has taken on the role of CFJC's Digital Reporter, where his main responsibilities include updating CFJC Today and managing the station's social media accounts. In his spare time you will find Chad working as a cameraman at Kamloops Blazers games, skiing at Sun Peaks, and hiking the hills and mountains around Kamloops.
Thompson Rivers University students are watching nervously as labour tensions unfold between the school and its faculty. Though TRU Faculty Association leaders have been silent, there is word the faculty has voted in favour of strike action.

The Coquihalla is now fully re-opened between Merritt and hope following a day of colissions spread across a vast area. Southbound traffic starting flowing again mid-afternoon, but Northbound traffic did not open again until just after 11pm Monday.
