WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The Cariboo Regional District has officially declared Maureen LeBourdais the new director for Electoral Area 'F'.

LeBourdais walked away with a big victory in the Area 'F' by-election Saturday, finishing with 315 votes.

Shannon Rerie received 50 votes and Brice O'Neill garnered 27 votes.

The by-election became necessary when Conrad Turcotte drew ill after he was elected in October, and could not take his oath of office.

Electoral Area 'F' encompasses a large rural area as well as the communities of 150 Mile House, Likely and Horsefly.
