KAMLOOPS — Joe Hicketts has been called up on emergency recall by the Detroit Red Wings.
The 22-year old defenceman from Kamloops played eight games with the Red Wings earlier this season.
In 61 games with Detroit’s American League farm team the Grand Rapids Griffins Hicketts has three goals and 24 assists for 27 points.
With three games left in the season the Red Wings are out of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.
