Residential construction leads the way for Kamloops building sector in February

KAMLOOPS — February was a steady-if-unspectacular month for the Kamloops building sector.

According to new totals issued by the City of Kamloops Building Inspection Division, builders took out $6.5 million in permits last month.

That compares to $7.4 million in activity during February of 2018.

The bulk of last month’s activity took place in residential construction, including 14 new multi-family units getting underway.

Two months into the year, 2019 continues to lag behind last year’s pace.
