Major midget Blazers look to claw Cougars in Prince George

KAMLOOPS — Logan Stankoven and the major midget Thompson Blazers are on their way to Prince George, where they play back-to-back games against the Cariboo Cougars this weekend. 

The Blazers (16-12-0-0) are five points back of the Cougars (16-5-5-0) for third place in the B.C. Major Midget League. As it stands, the Thompson Blazers are tied for fifth in the league with the Vancouver North West Hawks (15-11-1-1). 

The first game faces off on Saturday night at 4 p.m., while Sunday’s game starts at 10:30 in the morning. 

Stankoven leads the league in scoring by 21 points with 38 goals and 28 assists.
