KAMLOOPS —  A new twist in the case of a missing actress and her six-year old nephew.

Global B.C. reports today that the  actress that was the subject of a missing persons report appears to have taken to Facebook to say that she and her nephew are safe and sound.

Police said Roseanne Supernault, 28, and her six-year-old nephew Nikaeo Supernault were declared missing on Wednesday.

The pair had reportedly last been seen on Sunday.

The Global story says  a post on Supernault’s Facebook page suggests otherwise.

The post says “Contrary to the media coverage, I was not ‘watching’ my nephew, I have in fact been raising him for the past 7 months, and I have documentation to substantiate it. It is clear to me that the Kamloops RCMP were being misinformed,”

The post continues “My nephew and I in fact went into hiding after he confided seriously distressing allegations to me.”

The post goes on to allege that the situation with the boy’s mother and relatives deteriorated over a recent holiday visit.

She also said she has been in contact with the RCMP to give them “our side of the statement.”

However Global reports RCMP weren’t prepared to consider the matter closed as of Wednesday evening.

In an email to the network, , Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Victor Steinhammer said that police had “made contact with the person whom they believe to be Roseanne Supernault and Nikaeo Supernault,” and that after the conversation, she had taken to social media to say she was no longer missing.

Steinhammer says that  until Nikaeo Supernault has been located and confirmed to be safe by the authorities the police investigation with continue and he and Roseanne will remain listed as missing.

Supernault is best known for her roles as Natalie Stoney in the television series Blackstone, which airs on APTN.
