KAMLOOPS — A necklace worth $4,000 has been recovered after an officer recognized it from a robbery earlier this year.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says an officer was conducting a curfew check on a man on the evening of Dec. 9.

When the man came to the door to confirm he was home, the officer noticed he was wearing a distinctive-looking gold chain around his neck.

The officer recognized it as looking exactly like a chain stolen from Fifth Avenue Jewellers on Sept. 17.
