Heat burn Storm in overtime

KAMLOOPS — Gavin Mattey scored with 13 seconds left in overtime to lift the Chase Heat to a 5-4 win over the Kamloops Storm in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.

The Storm forced overtime when Jason Scheible scored on the power play with 4:33 left in the third.

With the win the 6-19-2-1 Heat move to within four points of the fourth place Storm in the Birks Division.

Kamloops at 9-16-0-1 is three points behind Sicamous.
