Blazers lose to Tigers – remain winless on road trip

KAMLOOPS —- The Blazers remain winless after four games of a six game road trip following a 4-2 loss last night in Medicine Hat.

The Tigers scored twice in the first period and took a 3-0 lead with a shorthanded goal at 4:35 of the second.

The Blazers got back to within one on goals by Connor Zary, his 7th of the season at 15:14, and  two minutes and 45 seconds later Brodi Stuart put in his 9th.

Medicine Hat scored again six minutes into the third to make the final 4-2.

Dylan Ferguson stopped 31 of 35 shots.

Zane Franklin was back in the lineup last night, avoiding any further discipline following a 5-minute major for boarding and game misconduct in the first period of Tuesday’s game in Red Deer.

The Blazers are 0-3-1 on this road trip, which will end with games at Kootenay on Friday and in Lethbridge Saturday before the Christmas break.

At 12-14-3 the Blazers remain in fourth place in the B.C. Division, two points behind Victoria and two points ahead of last place Prince George.

The next home game is Friday, December 28 against the Kelowna Rockets.
