Successful High Five Day at Sun Peaks Resort rakes in food bank donations

SUN PEAKS — Skiers and snowboarders successfully rallied to raise donations for the Kamloops Food Bank with the annual High Five Day at Sun Peaks Resort (Dec. 3).

For the last 19 years, Sun Peaks Resort has asked for non-perishable food donations, and offered $5 lift tickets to visitors, to help out the local food bank.

In a release from the resort, the totals are in and this year the event raised $10,309 in cash donations and over 3,500 lbs of non-perishable food for the Kamloops Food Bank, up from 3,094 lbs last year.

The resort adding, thanks to everyone for their generous contributions and continued support.
