KAMLOOPS — One man wanted by police in connection to a lengthy investigation is now in Kamloops RCMP custody.

35 year-old Cameron Cole surrended himself to police last night, and will appear remain in custody until his court appearance.

Cole is charged with three counts of possessing a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, possessing a prohibited firearm without being the licenced holder, storing a firearm contrary to regulations, possession of ammunition for the purpose of committing an offence, possessing a prohibited weapon, possessing an improvised explosive device with the intent to endanger life, two counts of possessing an improvised explosive device, and possession of a weapon, device or firearm while prohibited.

Thursday morning, RCMP executed a search warrant at a business downtown, finding a potential explosive device that was later determined to be benign.

That search was connected to an home invasion report at a home on Badger Drive in Dallas last January.

Last year at the Badger Drive home, RCMP found numerous firearms, bomb-making materials, cash, and narcotics inside the house being used by Cameron Cole.

The RCMP would like to thank the public for their calls and information that helped resolve this matter.

Still wanted by police is 62-year-old Charles Gerald Patrick, also charged and currently wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.

If you see Patrick, do not approach him and call RCMP or 911.
