Suspect uses infected needle in Vernon robbery

VERNON, B.C. — Police in Vernon are looking for a suspect who allegedly used an infected needle in a robbery at a local fast food business.

A man entered Wrap Zone in the Fruit Union Plaza Wednesday night (Dec. 5) and threatened staff with what he said was an infected needle and demanded money.

The two staff members gave him cash and the man fled on foot.

Despite extensive patrols, police were not able to locate the man who was described as wearing a dark-coloured, waist-length jacket with dark coloured shoes with light coloured trim.
