KAMLOOPS — With Kamloops still waiting on a significant snowfall this winter, folks are heading up to the mountain to experience the powder.
And it’s actually one of the best places to experience winter in Canada, according to Expedia’s travel blog.
Sun Peaks is one of just four locations for the best places to visit in December for winter activities, joined by St. John’s, NL, London, Ont., and Cambridge Bay, Nvt.
“Big mountains, powdery snow, and all the cheese fondue you want. Sound good to you? Then make your way to Sun Peaks,” the Expedia travel blog post states. “This town has the second-largest ski area in the country (4,270 acres). And after you’ve conquered the mountain, make your tummy happy with a trip to Sunburst Bar + Eatery, which features a three-course fondue dinner with a soundtrack of Swiss music in the background.”
