Water testing could affect Kamloops residents’ water today

KAMLOOPS — Your water could be a bit cloudy today while testing takes place on the North Thompson Emergency Water Intake on Yates Road.

The three-stage testing process will have no substantial impact to water quality, according to the City.

But residents could have some cloudy or dirty-looking water for several days following today’s and tomorrow’s testing.

Tomorrow will be the last day of testing for the water intake, which was constructed to provide the city with a secondary water source in case of a major contamination of the South Thompson River.
