Stankoven on fire in B.C. Major Midget League

KAMLOOPS — Blazers prospect Logan Stankoven is running away with the scoring race in the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League.

Stankoven had 10 points on five goals and five assists in two Thompson Blazers wins, 7-1 and 9-3, over the South Island Royals this weekend.

With 26 goals and 45 points in sixteen games Stankoven has an eight goal and 17 point lead in league scoring.

At 11-and-5 the midget Blazers are in third place, three points behind the first place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds, who they’ll play next weekend in Abbotsford.
