PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — A 27-year-old Prince George man is facing child pornography charges.

“In June 2018, a flash drive with suspected child pornography was found and turned into the Prince George RCMP,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass. “A suspect was identified and an investigation initiated.”

Tyler Evan MacDonald was arrested on Oct. 24 and has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of child pornography
  • Accessing child pornography

Douglass says MacDonald was held in custody overnight and attended court Oct. 25. He was later released on a recognizance of bail until his next court appearance scheduled for Nov. 14. MacDonald was released with a number of conditions.

“He’s not allowed to be at any public places, parks or pools, or anywhere that children may be at as well as not allowed to be in the presence of anyone under the age of 16. Certainly, if he is found breaching any of those, we would want to know that right away,” added Douglass.

No other information has been released at this time.
