Advance voting today for Tk’emlups election

KAMLOOPS — The Tk’emlups election is just around the corner, and band members are able to cast an advance ballot today.

Rosanne Casimir and Joshua Gottfriedson are running for chief, while 11 people are running for seven council positions.

Marie Baptiste, Thomas William Blank, Evelyn Camille, Jackie Camille, Chad Gottfriedson, Justin Gottfriedson, Katy Gottfriedson, Jeanette Jules, Sonny Joseph Leonard, Colleen Mosterd-McLean, and Viola Thomas are running for council seats.

Eagle Casimir has been deemed ineligible to run, while Nacoma George, Richard Jules, and Barbara Rae Stewart have withdrawn from the race.

Polls open at at 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. at Moccasin Square Gardens on Chief Alex Thomas Way.
