Medical issue may be behind crash on Highway 1 near Tobiano

KAMLOOPS — A man has been taken to hospital this afternoon (Nov. 1) after rolling his truck on Highway 1 near Tobiano.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says the accident happened at roughly 2:15 p.m., after the pickup truck hit the curb on the shoulder of the highway, and the driver lost control and rolled on the road.

The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time. He remained conscious and was brought to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police don’t believe that speed or alcohol were involved — Shelkie says a medical issue could have been behind the crash.
