CALGARY — Things are slowly getting back to normal with respect to the flow of natural gas through a 36-inch Enbridge pipeline, following an explosion near Prince George on October 9.

Enbridge says it has successfully completed repairs on the pipeline and has begun the multi-hour process to return it to service. The repaired segment is expected to return to service within the next 48 hours.

Capacity was reduced to 80 percent two days later via an adjacent pipeline and that will continue until the company is fully satisfied it is safe to operate at full capacity.

The company added that they continue to assist the Transportation Safety Board in their ongoing investigation.
