SD73 Trustee Candidates take part in DPAC Forum ahead of Saturday’s election
KAMLOOPS — With the civic election just days away, opportunities to get to know more about the candidates running are becoming fewer and further between. On Tuesday, the District Parent Advisory Council held a forum for the 10 candidates for School District 73 trustees at the Henry Grube Education Centre, all of whom made their final pitches to the more than 50 voters who showed up to find out more about what the candidates have planned to help improve conditions in SD73 schools.
With election day closing in fast, 10 of the candidates for School District 73 trustee gathered at the Henry Grube Centre Tuesday night, Oct. 16, to take part in a forum organized by the SD73 District Parent Advisory Council.
Members of the audience submitted questions to the moderator, Radio NL news director Shane Woodford, who then gave each candidate 60 seconds to give their best answer.
The discussion quickly turned to capital funding, and how each candidate would approach the challenge of acquiring much-needed funds to help improve facilities throughout the district.
