Bridge damage closes Logan Lake-area highway

LOGAN LAKE, B.C. — UPDATE: Drive BC says repairs are taking place and the anticipated reopening time is 8:00 p.m. Monday.

EARLIER: The route connecting Logan Lake with the Coquihalla Highway is closed this afternoon due to bridge damage.

Drive BC reported the closure of Highway 97D at about 1:30 p.m.

Commuters can detour through Merritt or Ashcroft on Highway 97C.

Crews are assessing the damage and hope to have an update later Monday afternoon.
