WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — RCMP in Williams Lake say alcohol led to a crash during the noon hour Wednesday.

At about 12:27, a collision between two vehicles took place on Third Avenue near Comer Street.

Investigators say a northbound car hit a parked SUV before crashing into the sidewalk curb.

The driver was detained at the scene and an impaired investigation led to alcohol as a suspected contributing factor.

Charges are being recommended.

Police say the driver went to hospital with injuries, though the extent is not known
