71 year old man dies in Highway 24 motorcycle crash

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — A motorcycle crash on Highway 24 has claimed the life of a Lower Mainland man.

Cpl. Mike Halskov with BC RCMP Traffic Services says it happened just after 4:00 p.m. yesterday (Sept. 25) near Hillcrest Road on Highway 24, some 42 kilometres east of 100 Mile House.

“Unfortunately, the lone rider of the motorcycle, a 71 year old male from the Lower Mainland area, was deceased at the scene. The collision is being investigated by Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Traffic Services out of 100 Mile House, along with the BC Coroners Service and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service.”

He says investigators still haven’t figured out exactly what happened.
