KAMLOOPS — Tk’emlups Indian Band Chief Fred Seymour has decided against running for re-election this fall.

He made his decision official in a letter to Kamloops city council dated Sept. 17, 2018.

“A quick note to advise you that I have decided not to run in the upcoming Tk’emlups te Secwepemc Chief and Council elections on November 10th. I want to reassure the City that I will endeavour to always work with my community to keep the bridge open between our two communities.”

Seymour steps down after one three-year term as chief.
