PRINCE GEORGE —  A rally for missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada is being organized for Sunday afternoon in Prince George.

Organizers have been hard at work making signs for the Sunday afternoon rally beginning at the corner of Ferry and Highway 16 at 3:45 and followed by a march up the Highway of Tears at 4 p.m.  Everyone is invited to participate.

Organizer Cheyanne McDonald says she decided to organize the rally in the wake of finding out about Jessica Patrick, and Indigenous women who went missing out of Smithers.

McDonald says she’s pleasantly surprised at the interest that’s already been shown in the event.
